Lancaster, PA

While we were in Pennsylvania, we went to Lancaster to go visit an Amish Farm. We all thought that we were going to see a lot of Amish people, but we got there and it was just a guided tour through a house and then you could go look around the farm. It was very educational for me. I don't really know that much about the Amish, but I learned a lot.
We learned about what kind of clothes they wear, and how they decorate their houses, and just about their lifestyle in general.
They had some goats that you could feed so there were a couple of people who took advantage of that.This is Chris the woodcarver who burned all of the girls' names into a piece of wood and then tried to convince Brinley to take a ride in his pumpkin slingshot. She was all for it, but then when he told her that when she landed she had to watch out for the sheep poop she said, "I don't wanna get messy. I don't want to take a bath." It was pretty dang funny.
Whenever we asked Brinley to pose for the camera, this is what she did. She's pretty cute!
We got some cute pictures of the girls (and Josh). I can't believe how grown up they all are! And so pretty! It was a fun trip to Lancaster, and we got to learn a lot about the Amish. After we toured the farm, we drove around near Lancaster to see where the Amish actually live. We saw all of the horse and buggies driving down the road and we stopped to get some homemade root beer. It was a good time!
